Websites and Public Platforms
Responsive, accessible websites designed around your identity, audience, services, and goals.
WEB & APP DEVELOPMENT
I design and build websites, web applications, mobile apps, and connected digital systems for small businesses, independent practitioners, community organizations, and mission-driven teams.
The goal is not technology for its own sake. It is creating a clearer, more useful system—one that reduces friction for the people using it and makes the work behind the work easier to manage.
A digital presence should do more than sit there.
The strongest projects connect the public-facing experience with everything happening behind it: scheduling, payments, memberships, client accounts, communication, documents, internal administration, and ongoing operations.
I can help create the full ecosystem or improve the part that is no longer working.
Responsive, accessible websites designed around your identity, audience, services, and goals.
Account-based platforms where clients, members, staff, or communities can access information, complete tasks, manage services, and interact with your organization.
Connected iOS and Android experiences that bring scheduling, accounts, communication, purchases, and other essential services into one place.
Integrated systems for appointments, classes, events, subscriptions, packages, contracts, waivers, and secure payment processing.
Dashboards and internal tools that help staff manage users, schedules, purchases, documents, communications, and daily operations.
Transactional email, account notifications, reminders, onboarding sequences, and communication workflows connected directly to the systems people use.
Support for organizations outgrowing disconnected platforms, manual workarounds, outdated websites, or expensive legacy systems.
Testing, deployment, documentation, troubleshooting, refinement, and continued technical support after launch.
I work especially well with small businesses and mission-driven teams that need something more tailored than a generic template but do not have an internal technology department.
This may include:
You do not need to arrive with technical terminology or a finished plan. We can begin with what you are trying to accomplish, what is currently creating friction, and what the people using the system actually need.
STEP 1
Before selecting tools or designing screens, I look at how the organization currently operates: who uses the system, what they are trying to do, where information moves, and where things break down.
STEP 2
We identify the essential features, user journeys, integrations, administrative needs, project phases, and the difference between what is necessary now and what can be built later.
STEP 3
Projects are developed incrementally so that individual features can be reviewed, tested, corrected, and strengthened before the entire system depends on them.
STEP 4
A system is not complete simply because the code runs. It must also work across devices, handle real users, communicate clearly, recover from mistakes, and support the people responsible for operating it.
STEP 5
I provide launch support, documentation, and options for continued maintenance, troubleshooting, and future development.
SELECTED WORK
Phased launch and release testing
Integrated website, member platform, and mobile application
Bee Humble Studio needed more than a redesigned website. The larger project involved creating a connected digital ecosystem for an independent yoga and wellness studio while replacing fragmented legacy tools and manual administrative processes.
The platform is designed to support the full relationship between the studio, its students, instructors, and administrators.
Project scope
My role
Product strategy, system planning, user experience, interface development, web development, mobile application development, platform integrations, quality assurance, deployment, release management, and ongoing technical operations.
Public links will be added as each component of the new platform completes release.
Live and evolving
Multidisciplinary portfolio and service website
A responsive personal platform bringing yoga services, writing, sociological research, consultation booking, and multiple dimensions of public work into one cohesive experience.
The project required an information architecture capable of holding distinct professional identities without making the site feel fragmented or forcing every visitor through the same pathway.
Project scope
My role
Product strategy, information architecture, design, development, accessibility, quality assurance, deployment, and ongoing refinement.
Recent projects have incorporated tools and platforms including Astro, React, React Native, Expo, Supabase, Netlify, GitHub, Square, Resend, Cal.com, Zoom, and connected APIs.
Technology is selected according to the project rather than treated as the project itself. The right system should be maintainable, proportionate to the organization, and capable of growing without becoming an unnecessary burden.
DEVELOPMENT CONSULTATION
A development consultation is a place to talk through:
After the consultation, a suitable project can move into a written scope outlining recommended phases, deliverables, responsibilities, cost, and next steps.
No. Many projects begin with a problem rather than a technical plan. Part of the consultation is determining what kind of system would actually address it.
Yes. A project may involve improving an existing platform, connecting tools that currently operate separately, migrating away from a legacy service, or rebuilding only the portions that need to change.
Yes. Not every organization needs a custom application. A focused, well-designed website may be the appropriate solution.
Yes. Whenever possible, systems are planned in phases so that essential functionality can launch first without closing off future growth.
Ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, feature development, and operational support may be included in the project or arranged separately.
Yes. I use modern development and analysis tools where they improve speed, testing, documentation, and problem-solving. Every project still requires human planning, judgment, review, testing, and responsibility for the final system.
Whether you need a clear public website, a member portal, an internal administrative system, or a connected web-and-mobile platform, we can begin with the problem and build outward.
